The only rational reasons anyone would want the new Windows are DirectX, work related software, or missing out on a ""free"" offer. DirectX12 is not that relevant. W10 is proven to not be suitable for work related software. There is usually no such thing as a free lunch. Bottom line is use 7 for work or 8.1 for DirectX11.2 and cut them off from the net if you're paranoid or there's a ransomeware outbreak.
