As someone who uses xubuntu as their primary OS on 5/7 of their machines, I have to ask. Why the fuck does XFCE need THE shittiest file manager available? Thunar is a buggy pile of garbage that need to be lit on fire and forgotten about forever.
Install another one then
Thunar sucks eggs. Use mc
you know it's posts like this that make me think twice leaving OSX even though they rob me my money and all my data.
I will never have to question basic functionalities.
Why can't there exist a OS that is stable, free and doesn't want to drink your blood.

I am. I just did a fresh install on one of my laptops and remembered why I don't use that piece of shit.

>Sudo apt install nemo
Problem solved. That's the beauty of Guhnoo slesh lenucks. If something doesn''t work correctly, you can use something else that does.
>Thunar is shit
Why?
Nigga what? Thunar is decent as a file manager. At least it's not the abomination that is Nautilus. Sure, Thunar crashes when dealing with tens of thousands of copies and doesn't have a built in search function, but it is damned fast. It laughs at the ~70k unsorted images I have on my main directory.

Too heavy for what it does

Nemo is just an improved Nautilus

This. :^)

It's worse when you can't install a decent music player, or a good office suite or anything like that
>>57951097
It's now a 1 year old bug. At least it's only appear when i move files. Renaming don't crash it.
>>57950594
It's not like you know what is it about.
