You should try killing yourself

Check condensators or the fuse and change them if they are damaged.
>>57943752
woah nigga
im just thinking about replacing it, and hoping all goes well
>>57943747
thanks
>>57943742
nothing graphic, sorry
i was playing witcher 3, pc suddenly shut off, i let it sit for a minute, and like an idiot i turned it on. heard a pop, then a sizzle, i was looking right at the psu, but i dont recall seeing a flash, but im sure there was
smells bad though, thankfully just the psu, so there's hope everything else is ok
>>57943708
kiss me
What kind of chink shit psu did you buy?
>>57943804
eh, it was ok, Rosewill
i replaced the fan, which isnt a big deal
what did it was the fact that i was probably pulling like 650W in game (max 700w)
additionally my PC was shoved into a corner without much airflow
my fault desu

The word in english is "capacitors", not "condensators". Slav confirmed
bump
is my only option to wait for bestbuy to open and grab a psu?
>>57944191
Even if you work with electronics and can troubleshoot it, you're still going to have to buy new capacitors or whatever other component that failed, so yes. You need a working power supply even just to check if the motherboard or any other component is toast (which is unlikely). Should be common sense?
>>57944849
idk its just a little stressful
how unlikely is it that my components are toast?
which ones are most likely?
i assume the mobo?
>>57944875
The chances are mor or less equal for all components. Usually when PSU's fail the motherboard and HDD's just experience a normal power failure. It would get damaged if there's a voltage spike, but i think PSUs have some protection against that. I've had a few PSUs blow up spectacularly, but the motherboard was never harmed.

this is mainly what i made the thread for
thanks, fingers crossed
