My computer was running just fine and didn't have a problem running demanding programs. Now this thing turns into a toaster, sometimes even when running stuff that shouldn't be very demanding on the hardware. What do?

Fine, this thread is about the discussion of why computers turn into toasters.
I've seen far worse shitposts on here than this.

Software gets more bloated as time passes, so this is perfectly normal.
I'd recommend you stick with older versions

It is called hardware failure. You should throw it away ( as it was designed to be ) and purchase a new system.

and you decided to add another one!
as if there isnt' enough bloat and shit already
you worthless shitposting faggot

I've only had it for like a year and a half. It should not be toaster yet.

It gets hot playing Fallout 2. This game is old as hell. It doesn't get super hot playing it, but hot enough when it never really used to, and I doubt the game had some major update that made it take that much more processing power.

Reinstall Windows. It fixes everything

Not really, most software outside of shitty web apps hasn't really gotten that much more intense, just look at Windows 10, it still runs perfectly well on many systems that originally shipped with Vista nearly a decade ago.

You're fucking retarded and the reason modern hardware is turning to shit.
