I know I will get hate for this but

TP-Link has some nice managed switches. Yes, they are not Cisco and don't have ios. But they be switches. They are managed. They have VLAN tagging. What more do you really need for most situations? No, they are not routers but other switches are also not routers.

tl;dr, I like TP-Link's managed series because they work great and have all the features you need and cost a third of fancy-brand switches. Potentially being part of the Chinese botnet isn't worse than being part of the NATO botnet.
