How can I block these ISP warnings from appearing?
I'm on dorm internet and have no idea when it'll be getting fixed.
>>57894066
use a vpn when you torrent are you dumb
Also this one.
So fucking annoying.
>>57894066
Use https
Use a VPN
Get an ISP that doesn't hijack and modify your traffic
>>57894066
Could using HTTPS only sites avoid these?
>>57894070
I don't torrent. I'm assuming some other fucking retards do without using a VPN. I just shitpost and look at porn.
>>57894066
Move to Australia for pirate freedoms or use newsgroups instead of torrents.
>>57894066
how is this acceptable for ISPs to do.
this is some sotto voce violation level shit.

HTTPS isn't enabled on all the sites I go on.
God this is fucking annoying.
Stop downloading copyrighted material
>>57894110
How is it not, shit for brains.
Check what domain it's originating for and use your hosts file to block it or even better you could get the IP and block it at router level.
I've found using a different DNS stops that shit. other devices with the ISP DNS will still get them though
Run your own DNS, faglord

Download https everywhere. Will attempt to request every site as an https site first before doing http.
So they mim attack you just to inform you of somothing? Have you americans not heard of encrypted emails or just plain letters?
Change your DNS. You're using DNS from Comcast. Use Google's instead... Or whatever you want to do. I use Google and they're much better. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 is Google's DNS.
Google how to do this if you don't know. Furthermore, if you have a Comcast Gateway, get rid of it. You're paying rent on every month forever for an awful product that's FROM Comcast. Obviously you understand the downside to this. Don't get cucked. Buy a modem and router, if you need. Don't buy them as one package if you can help it. Usually stick with Netgear, but don't buy Cisco because they're in bed with the NSA. Netgear, as far as we know, isn't. Or anyone else for that matter.
I bought my own modem and my internet went from 50 Mbps to 170 Mbps, usually stable around 150 Mbps. Granted it did cost around $200, but still. It's forever.
Use https everywhere extension in your browser. Furthermore, use a VPN. I don't use one, but the ones I've tried made my internet boost up AT LEAST 25 Mbps, which makes me suspicious of what Comcast is doing. So, if your internet is really bad, look into that... And I'd suggest it if you torrent, but get an approved VPN, not the NSA ones.
TL;DR
>Change DNS to Google
>Edit host files to null route shitty sites (especially if on Windows 10)
>Use extensions in browser such as HTTPS Everywhere
>Use VPN
>NEVER USE COMCAST GATEWAYS (Get your own Modem/Router)
Changing your DNS is all you have to do, really, but whatever.

Open notepad with admin rights
Go to C:\Windows\System32\driver\etc\HOSTS
add127.0.0.1 boards.4chan.orgat the end on its own line
save
Thank me later.

He means rerouting traffic to 0.0.0.0. You can do this to effectively block ad and malware domains (or anything else). Search for AdAway hosts file, the github will give you additional hosts files as well. If you have Windows there's a "hosts file editor" which let's you edit hosts easier.
For example, writing this line
>0.0.0.0 ad.onlineadserv.com
Will prevent your PC from connecting to the ad.onlineadserv.com by trying to access it at 0.0.0.0 which is a null IP. This >>57896007 would stop you from visiting 4chan.
Although this can be bypassed. For example, edge on Windows 10 will ignore hosts file when accessing Microsoft sites. Chrome (not chromium or chromium based browsers) will ignore hosts when it comes to Google ads (anything YouTube, and other sites which use Google ad services).
You can do this on any OS, all you need is root/admin access. Including Android (this is how AdAway works). Good thing is this is system-wide, so it's not just limited to your browser, any other software will be prevented from accessing domains.
I'm sure someone has explained all this better elsewhere, so Google any additional information you need.

Thanks, legitimatelly learned something on /g/ now, I'm assuming you could also instead of 0.0.0.0 write the ip where another site is hosted so that my feminazi roommate opens some storm site everytime she tries to acces tumblr right? (I know the password to her laptop)

And then, when she has no idea what's wrong or how to fix it and inevitably asks you to make it better, you tell her you'll only do it on the condition that she submit to the patriarchy and suck your dick.
