performance: tie

software: s7 software is bloated, locked down touchwiz garbage. HTC rom is superior and the bootloader is unlocked with no exploits

screen: samsung's screens can't be beat. the 10's isn't bad but it's still an LCD and simply can't compete with samsung's AMOLED

main camera: samsung's cameras are always great, but the 10's is phenomenal as well. your photos will probably look better on the s7 because of the screen but the color reproduction isn't very authentic and you might find the 10 to be more faithful. probably a wash, unless you're a photographer, in which case you can do your own research here

build quality: HTC by a mile. samsung phones, including the s7 edge, are plastic shit. they look great and work great but feel fucking terrible. even in a case you'll not be able to get away from the subpar construction. the 10 is immaculately made.

battery: 10 vs regular s7 is probably a wash, but the edge ships with 20% bigger battery than either one. the unlocked bootloader will probably be able to compensate for this. note that the 10 charges much faster, it also uses USB-C which is objectively superior

waterproofing: a nice gimmick, useful if you're clumsy but adds literally no meaningful functionality.

front camera: the 10's front camera is objectively better

screen edge: this could go either way I guess, it's obnoxious to me but you might find it useful

if you want something that just works out of the box, go with the S7, you'll never notice its drawbacks. if you want a phone that can rise to the challenge of your autism, the 10 is going to be superior.

note that the 10 is probably cheaper simply because the HTC brand commands less of a premium. as other users have mentioned, the redmi note is a great option if you're illiterate, missing a chromosome and you lack the fine motor skills to operate a phone with one hand.

one last thing I forgot to mention: the 10's speakers shit on those of the samsung. also, I didn't realize until after I posted this, but the screens are completely different sizes (I guess I should have noticed from the picture). the S7 edge is the same size as the redmi note, the 10 is by no means compact but it's a more traditional size for a smartphone. this by itself is probably enough to make your decision, there's a pretty big difference in usability, almost everyone has a preference for one size over the other. note that the 10 has the same resolution screen meaning it has better pixel density, roughly the same as the edge's less-edgy brother.
