MX clears right now. I'll be building another one with either feelios, MOD switches or aristotles.

I'd just suggest tenting it like I have it, definitely more comfortable than laying it flat. Also give it about a week or two to get used to the layout. You may end up not wanting to go back to a regular staggered layout afterwards.

I have multiple cherry switches to compare to. Reds feel the closest to Topre.

Topre force graphs are near flat and extremely smooth. This makes them feel like linear switches. Especially the lighter linear switches like Reds since the spring rate isn't as much.

The rubber dome collapses, and you pretty much inevitably bottom out, because the force is near zero. That's not the case with linear switches.

Reds don't feel similar to topre in the slightest. Nor does any other linear switch. Topre feels like a rubber dome, because it is one. Linears feel like pressing down on a spring with resistance that increases slightly as you bottom out, Topre is pretty much the opposite of that.

They are gritty, as with any Cherry MX switch compared to Gateron.
On the Browns the grit is more pronounced, so I think it is intentional. I still don't like it.
Gateron equivalents are much smoother and I believe feelios are too.

I'd try one of these. Ignore the meme-tier name. The caps are meh but its backlit. But the switches and plate construction are right and proper. The thing feels great and is built buy the same OEM as Filco iirc. I'd try the Clears as browns just dont feel as crisp and mechanical (to me.)

Some questions before I join I notice that the alpha set costs $68, but if I scroll down I see that it $53 is in bold. Is that just the reduced price because more people bought? If it is why does it still list the price as $68 and not $53? And finally when the GB ends in a week will I be charged the reduced price or the $68.
