If I can't hardwire my PC, are these USB stick wifi adapters worth using?
>>57861224
Yes it is faster than RJ45 when there are two antennae.
>>57861224
>hardwire
I don't think it means what you think it means. Something that's "hardwired" is something being an inherent part of the system and which cannot be removed or altered without great pain and effort.
powerline

>RJ45
It's 8P8C, ye doofus.
>>57861280
>look guys what i learned in school
NOBODY in the industry calls them that
>>57861271
Not all USB. Many have two USB ports for each antenna. Double the speed. It's faster than RJ45 easily.
well, if you are not hc gaming or torrenting terabytes, then yes

They where called RJ45 way before meme8p8c
>>57861224
Yes, if you need speed, get one with USB 3.

This look like as good a place as any to ask my networking question.
Is there such a thing as multiple cat6 in one cable?
The decorators fucked up in my apartment and I have this narrow pipe under the floor with 4xcat5 jammed into it and they really had to pack them in there so they probably pulled them hard to get them in there, I'm not expecting them to work properly.
Assuming something is fucked, or I just want cat6, is there like a 32xtwisted pair cable I could use?
>>57863528
Wrong, RJ45 is something different. It's you who's perpetuating the meme.

I'll answer my own question, yes bundled cat6 cables exist though they seem to usually be UTP instead of STP.

Doesn't USB 3 type C interfere WiFi unless it's throttled like on the new MacBook "Pro"?
>>57863657
are you actually autistic
>>57863878
It interferes a and g 2.4Ghz frequencies.

Where do you think we are?

>RJ45 is something different
This is true.
>>57861286

This is also true.

I gotta agree with the sarcasm in this.
They really are different but in a really tiny way that doesn't usually matter. May as well use the right name though, network connectors are the future and POTS plugs are the past, might as well use the naming convention of the future.
I'm a convert as of this thread.
RJ45 = rajeesh?
