Dont kill me guys but is the h100i gtx really that bad temp wise or is it just my processor i have an amd fx 8350 thinking of getting a i5 my load temps are around 55c
55 European fahrenheits during load, with an overclock? That's far from bad.
>>57851080
Nah not overoclocked but that full load like if i were playing gta v or the division
>>57851056
55 celsius is okay for 8350.
That being said, i don't think my [email protected] hits 55 even on benchmarks, and i have crappy twin-tower 120mm no name cooler.
>>57851229
Should i overclock it seeing at i head the h100i gtx works better with overclocks
>>57851260
what
you don't think your cpu will run on lower temps because you'll overclock it, do you?
>>57851276
No but ive read that the temps will stay abput the same if i overclock it with the h100i
>>57851156
My 8350 running stock with a 27€ Thermalright cooler from few years back doesn't get that warm under load. You fell for the water cooling meme
>>57851578
How hot does yours get
>>57851534
>if i increase my thermal output and use same cooling device, temperature will magically stay the same
no
water coolers are obeying laws of physics just like any normal coolers, except you have water extension cord so you can mount larger radiator somewhere else
>>57851056
55c is housefire tier
get an i5, it'll run at 30-40c.
>>57851763
>except you have water extension cord so you can mount larger radiator somewhere else
And you have water in them which proves a much more effective cooling medium. That's why a 120mm radiator can cool as good (if not better) as one of those 1 kilo noctua behemoth heatsinks with a same 12cm fan.
Thats not really too bad when 70c is considered the highest max load temp you should limit yourself to
>>57851860
70 socket, 60 core.

Reminder: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2122665/understanding-temperature-amd-cpus-apus.html
AMD's modern CPUs and APUs do not have a traditional temp sensor on die. They literally do not ever display a real temp figure, they monitor a metric called thermal margin.
>>57851786
Bullshit. my i7 runs at 55deg c under load with a h75i.
late 70s upwards is considered not great.
>>57851860
where are you pulling these fake figures from?
>>57852168
Entirely from his ass.
Many many years ago an AMD rep posted on a forum and told people that their CPUs had a max safe temp of 65c. This was relevant to the Phenom II line which had real temp sensors on die.
It isn't relevant to any newer silicon. They don't use temp sensors at all any more.
