Hi, guys. Here comes a situation I don't even imagine how to google a way out of. So, I've installed FreeBSD 11 and now my PC shows a hyphen that has a blinking underscore. It doesn't react to input.
Oh, and in like a minute after this boots my fan goes berserk.
I have legacy bios, ada0s1 is linux-swap (didn't reformat it yet), ada0s2 is win7 ntfs, ada0s3 is bsd with a freebsd-ufs / and finally ada0s4 is a fat partition, all of them primary of course. My plan was to boot FreeBSD and try to do something about dual booting with boot0cfg, but when I got that hyphenOS I just didn't know what the hell, I'm absolutely lost now.
Maybe there's an option other than reinstalling and possibly repeating that dreadful experience?
have a look at that ominous hyphen, it drives me so mad
are they even trying anymore

That hyphen actually reminds me of the time I was studying IBM PC architecture, there was that debug command to input machine code.
But this hyphen here is terribly frustrating. A buddy said he can bring an ubuntu 16.10 cd, about half an hour ago I'd be definitely against it, but now that /g too seems to have no idea, I'm tempted.

k, how can I prove I'm serious?
If I messed something obvious, tell me.

Why not ask the question somewhere where people can actually help you? Like the freebsd forums? I can't help but I am a regular there and there are many helpful people that will help you sort it out.

I have like 7 hours to fix it (and I might have a bad opinion about forums), but you gave me a nice idea; I'll try my luck on IRC.
