X Compact is a midrange phone, if you can get it on a sale go for it otherwise do not go even near it because the asking price is stupid.
Z5 Compact wasn't bad and probably performs almost the same as the X Compact but it has less battery life than a Z3 Compact and that's outdated.
Right now you are fucked, I gave up when replacing my Z3 Compact and got a OnePlus 2 for peanuts with all the retards going crazy for the OnePlus 3 and 3T.

I feel you, op. I've been waiting for a 5" phones with a decent screen for months now. I'm thinking an Axon body, shrunk to 5. We've had smaller phones with water proofing, dual front speakers, and SD cards before. It's greed that stops them from getting made.

at this point i'm simply considering jumping ship and getting a 5 inch phone. The redmi 4 prime looks good, now if it had cyanogenmod it would be a pretty gud phone.

Maybe sony will launch a xz compact but knowing sony it will be overpriced as fuck.
