uses WinAPI functions requiring Vista or higher

...will not work on XP and absolutely nothing can be done about it.

Well you can put 16gb of ram in your computer and have it actually recognize it. Outlook works better with other email services. You can have multiple desktops. The notifications system is greatly improved. Plus tons of touchscreen shit that I don't really care about, but is actually useful if you use a touchscreen or stylus enabled device. Cortana also isn't totally terrible despite what people here will say

I dont know how it runs on shitty computers, but I haven't experienced any performance issues on mine. I found it improved on a few things from 8.1, but Im sure 8.1 or even 7 would still be fine too.

the one complaint I have about 10 is the fact that there isn't one congruent theme or motif across the OS. Parts of it kind of feel stitched together and not super polished
