Just use the Simplix Pack off MDL, it installs all the necessary updates while avoiding the botnet ones. Also since you don't have to use Windows Update, you save time and energy.

Use a fresh install and disable Windows Update in services.msc. That's the only way to keep it running fast.

no it wont, you just do it correctly for the first update after a fresh install and it runs normally
