How do I stop Firefox from connecting to various shit when I open it?

For example it tries to access these two IPs:
https://www.whois.com/whois/54.200.62.216
https://www.whois.com/whois/51.10.94.164
which belong to Amazon and Microsoft.
What's going on?

This is clean Firefox with no addons and update check disabled. Also disabled the malicious sites list which I believe comes from Google.
>>
>>57766343
why?
>>
Here's another IP, belongs to who knows what
https://www.whois.com/whois/54.32.202.165

>>57766408
Because why not?
I mostly want to see if it's possible. I mean Mozilla say they respect my privacy and whatnot.

Are you using windows or ubuntu?
>>

use Chrome
>>
are these to do with bing and amazon search plugins?

Downloading favicons of Amazon and Bing for search box
>>
>>57766941
are you sure amazon and bing search options aren't pre-installed? open the drop down menu on the search bar.
>>
>>57766343
block them in the host file. Why don't anyone do that? What do they think the host file is for? You don't need no extra program.

Do you have something to hide, anon? Law abiding citizens don't care about privacy.
>>
>>57767094
Let's see if you are law abiding then. Give us your credit card number, expiration date and that number on the back. If you want to keep that private then we know you must be some pedophile or something.
>>
>>57767296
Sure, but I would lie to you.

Thanks for this. I went through all of it.
It's still connecting to some Amazon servers.

>Downloading favicons of Amazon and Bing for search box
I doubt it. Mozilla says it will look for favicons if they're not there, but all preinstalled search engines have favicons.
Anyway I removed all search engines except Google, which I can't remove.

>>57767045
Many are preinstalled, but I removed them.
>>
>>57766343
Install photoshop lately? Or any other expensive adobe products for that matter.
>>
>>57767642
Check the network tab in your dev tools and post a screenshot of the resources names/urls it's trying to access
>>
>>57767666
Forgot to add, try to go on bing.com over https and post a screenshot of the certificate chain. Same for amazon.com.
>>
>>57767666
There's nothing there, I don't have a site open.

>>57767687
This is an offline Firefox install, I'm just reading outgoing Firefox requests on the firewall.
>>
>>57767708
Try opening google or something and check what resources it's trying to inject into the page.

Just do a
netstat -abn
in an elevated prompt and look for suspicious activity.

If it's just randomly hitting those ips when idle, just sniff the packets its trying to send. Wireshark takes like 2 seconds to set up.
>>
Might so well just install chrome then, it's better
>>
Install Gentoo and compile Firefox without the USE flag called BOTNET.
