I once had a Razer Deathadder 2013 that I RMA'd in the summer of 2015. They no longer made the Deathadder 2013, so I was shipped a Deathadder Chroma. Can I RMA this Deathadder Chroma? Or is it no longer covered under any kind of warranty?

I bought the 2013 from Best Buy. It stopped working so I just contacted Razer and they offered to replace it. I just don't know whether the Chroma is under the 2013's warranty, if it's got its own warranty, or if it just doesn't come with one.

I asked why you needed it because it would help me help you.
For example if I want to see someones posts that I'm not friends with I create a bullspit profile for some 'cause' ("Save the trees,Save the bees,Save the whales & Save those snails). Then add people from the targets friends list( not the target; assume they smart enough not to add people with no mutual friends). The key is tied to your motherboard, just download an image, install it to the SSD, boot it and it should reactivate on its own without a problem. Then obviously just copy all your files and such from the HDD and format it

>>
>>57760436
You're on the right track but you need the W10 one if you want to install W10, just google Windows 10 Download Tool or Windows 10 Media Creation Tool and it's at the top.

For transferring your old stuff, if you have a spare external HDD big enough, copy all of your stuff over and format your old one, if not. Keep it connected to the system as normal but make the new SSD the boot drive, install Windows and then it will mount the old SSD as a seperate drive so you can transfer your stuff
>>
>>57760503

Maybe it's because I'm tired, maybe cause I'm dumb, maybe both, but I don't know what that means.

Hey guys,

I have a class that requires a database presentation. Anyway, I have done an internship as an apprentice DBA, and relational databases kind of now bore me to death, and I thought, what better time than now to learn about NoSQL?

Anyway, I was looking at making a NoSQL database, but I havent a fucking clue where to start.

Anyone ever just make a nosql database just to make one? if so, what did you do? I cant seem to find shit for project ideas on google, so yall might know more.

Probably just going to use MongoDB or CouchDB becaue of the amount of documentation online for these two.

Plugging my gpu into my power supply. One of the cables has 2 6+2 connectors on it. Can I use that to make the connection with one cable? Will it have enough power doing this with one cord?

As in I have 3 pcie cords from my power supply. 2 have 1 connection of 6+2 on the end and the third has two. Also the end that plugs into the power supply differs. Of the ones that have a single connection they have 6 slot with connections and 2 empty. The one with two connections has 7 slots with connectors in them and 1 empty.

My gpu have 8 and 6 connectors side by side btw.

Thanks, just bought the regular cat6. I'm planning to do a fresh reinstall of Windows onto the SSD instead of cloning the whole thing over, since I'm buying an SSD for the OS and HDD for the rest. Will there be any licensing problems with just reinstalling and reactivating with my Windows account? The current version of Windows I have came with my laptop.
>>
>>57761039

Also, I already tried removing the driver and letting Windows re-install it, but the problem persists.
>>
>>57760733
>>57761075

Cat6 probably isnt important as cat5 can get near gigabit on its own but whatever.

Shielded cat 6 has a metal sleave build in that needs to be connected to a shielded jack on the other end. It needs to be grounded and is really only needed if you are running cable next to power lines. I ran it under ground parallel to power lines last year outside at the place I work and that shielding saves it from the magnetic field of the other cable.

Sound like you dont have that issue.

Also for cloning your harddrive you can learn to use dd and be careful you dont screw it up and wipe your drive.

Or I have one of those hot swap external drive bays. They are a plastic box that sits on the desk and plugs in through usb. it has two slots on the tops for 5.25 or 3.5 or whatever drives. I can put two drives in there hit the button and the first drive will clone over the second.

>>

>>57761334
You can clone SSDs, make sure your cloning program supports trim. I like clonezilla.

You can change motherboards if you do a sysprep beforehand, and inject the AHCI driver via a windows cd. It is a pain in the ass but I've done it before for a retard driving a server into the ground. You can also set the chipset to IDE mode before you do this, then install the new AHCI driver in windows.
>>
>>57761334

No cloning is deeper then format the format goes with it.

You can use a linux live cd to boot a computer and copy between the two with the dd command. Be careful though dd has the nick name disk destroyer. Because if you type the drives in the wrong order youll copy the blank drive onto the full one. If thats sort of beyond you there is probably windows software but idk how you would do it since the drive you want to copy is your windows drive and it has to be running to use the software.

But yes you want to clone the drive it should work if you get a method going.

send help. anyone have any idea? does installing new ram do anything to the bios? why would it reset the overclock on my cpu
>>
>>57761372

You cpu has lanes on it more memory means more lanes used. Usually more memory makes it unstable easier and you need to do shit like give more power to the north bridge to stabilize.

From the sound of things your motherboard sees more ram and just decided to say no to the old overclock because it was made for a less ram scenario. Its likely that it wont take an old overclock in the new more ram system and youll have to redo it.

Just hit defaults to reset the overclock to stock. Figure out how to overclock again if you care.

http://www.dell.com/en-us/member/shop/dell-24-gaming-monitor-s2417dg/apd/210-aizs/monitors-flat-panel-widescreen/

I don't care about the "gaming" marketing term, but I've been looking for a reasonably priced 1080p 144Hz monitor. This looks like it fits the bill at a decent price, and it's 1440p @ 165Hz.
>>
>>57761495

If you clone a drive it will copy the format and the contents. If you can figure out enough linux without screwing it up you can run linux off a burned cd or usb without a drive and use the dd command to clone the drive for free and without a third hard drive to run the operating system. Its just as easy to wipe your good disk though all it would take is to type the drives int he wrong order.

Google drive cloning till you find a method you like.

>I'm not fucking with Linux. I'm using Macrium which can "clone this disk" or "Image this disk". I don't know what the difference is, but I'm assuming I can just do one of those unto my new SSD?

Not sure. The problem I can see which may just be me making it up is that you need to be running and logged into windows in order to use the program. And I am not sure it is going to want to copy a drive you are currently running.

Maybe its just me though I suppose someone made a program to do just that. If I was doing it though I would copy from one drive to another while neither are running.

I am getting worse performance in Watch_Dogs 2 when I install to my primary SSD than when I install to my secondary 7200RPM HDD. I'm not even sure how that's possible.

When I installed the game to my 7200 RPM HDD, my GPU would go up to 100% usage and I could get 60+FPS.

But when I installed the game to my primary SSD, the one Windows and Uplay are installed to, my GPU wouldn't go up to 100%. It, instead, hovered around 40-50% and I could only get ~30FPS.

I installed the game back to my secondary 7200 RPM HDD and got the 60+FPS performance back. But I'm confounded. How did installing the game to the faster drive bottleneck the GPU? It'd be one thing if the GPU were at 100%, but it won't even max out when installed to the SSD. How does that even happen?

I'm getting ready to hackintosh. I need to have Yosemite or later or Windows 10 for work on my machine so that my remote desktop program will run. I chose what I felt to be the lesser of two evils, so please don't shit on me.

I plan on installing Yosemite on a Thinkpad T400.

I'm torrenting a Hackintosh-Zone 10.10.1 DMG file as I type this. I have an old Intel based Mac with Lion that I can use to format the USB flash drive and write the OS to. So my question about the flash drive is do I use GUID or MBR as the partition scheme? Also what about the bootloader? I have Debian installed and I would like to have that show up in the Clover/Chameleon bootloader alongside OS X. Anything I should do or look out for or does the install tool do this automatically? What BIOS settings need to be enabled/disabled for this to work properly?

Any other general advice or warnings would be helpful too.

something to the effect that boats are money pits, and only have about a twenty five year lifespan so if you have a boat it's likely to sink in your lifetime, possibly with you on it, and something like one in three people own boats, and people with boats want to take their friends out on it and show off, so it's not really necessary to own a boat to enjoy the benefits

>Should I block them off or just leave them open?
blocking them may help, it's air /flow/ that's important, if for example, the rear fan ends up drawing air from an open top rather than from the air being brought in through the front, there may be little airflow in the middle of the machine

>I have big problems with dirt and dust where I live also
you can get dust filters, but they're a double edged sword, on one hand, they greatly reduce dust build up, and are easier to clean than pulling out parts and cleaning their heatsinks, but they also reduce how much air the fans can pull through them, so you need more/more powerful fans to make up for it

>didn't realise video cards could be underclocked or ran cooler by capping FPS - will have to try this
think about it, typically, one lets the machine render the game as fast as it can, this means as soon as one frame is done, it starts rendering the next frame. there's no idle time
if you cap it, you leave it gaps of time in between frames in which it can idle, therefore saving power and reducing heat. it's also pretty useful on laptops to extend battery life

>will turning down settings in game help instead of just running on auto and having everything set to ultra or max?
in combination with capping the framerate it can help also, but if you leave it uncapped it won't make a difference, the card will simply render more frames at less detail

a not-very-scientific example of framerate capping effects

on the left is glxgears (simple 3D graphics test program), capped to ~60fps by means of vsync
the gpu is barely under any load, as it has no trouble rendering the simple graphics at 60fps, temps don't go much above idle

and on the right is with vsync off, no cap
it renders much faster, way more than my display can even show. the gpu usage is higher, but since it's such a simple program, it's still not using the entire gpu core (in a full modern game, this would be much higher usage)
the temperature rose over 10C above what it was before

Alsa causes crackling on my headphones. How to fix? It is rekkin my mind!

I had PulseAudio installed as well but when I removed it the crackling carried on. So any pulse audio fixes didn't work (like adding tsched=0).

Any ideas how to fix this? Would I be able to fix this if I just focused on settings in the asound.conf file?

So SQT I'm planning on learning programming in my free time at work, my boss said he's fine with this as long as I only do it in spare time anyway he's said I can't install any software on the system (vim & git) so I was thinking of putting codebox and git on my server this way the files are always saved on my server and I can just SSH in git push etc. anyone here use codebox or have used it? I know this isn't the perfect setup but will it be good enough?

My desktop was randomly rebooting with no BSOD. Sometimes it wouldn't turn on after the reboot. So now it won't boot at all, no beeps, and he CPU fan, a 212 evo won't spin. Plugging the cooler on another fan connection makes it work but the PC won't turn on. The stock fan also won't spin.

My HX 650's CPU 8 pin connector seems to work fine on an old PC, at least, making it beep and its cpu fan to spin. Having the CPU PSU cable plugged or not doesn't seem to make a difference, but the weirdest thing is how if I quickly turn my PSU off then on, the CPU's fan does spin, but still no boot nor beeping. Mobo is a gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 and CPU is a phenom II x4 960T.

Is there anything I can do?

Look for vsftpd and install that on the Mint machine. (I don't know, maybe Mint already has a server installed, you may check for that). Use Filezilla client on the Windows machine.

You can also get WinSCP on the Windows machine and use SSH for file transfer. Atleast SSH should be configured under Mint already.

I'm a retard when it comes to this shit.

Always had an issue with background noise through my mic, figured it was just super loud fans, which is a problem, but the background noise in my mic doesn't seem to dissipate if I move away from the computer, or cover the microphone with my hands, etc., making me think it might just be interference from the 3.5mm jack. Get the same issue in all of the ports on my PC. Some mics are better than others, but they all seem to have it.

Was looking to get a new headset, and was eying up some bluetooth wireless ones, which might fix the issue as well as last a decent amount of time as the cable always breaks at the headphone after a year or so. However, they all seem super expensive if you want to get a name-brand one, at least £100.

But I can see a fair few wired, name-brand ones that seem to come with a USB adaptor to plug the 3.5mm headphone/microphone cables into.

Wondering if the USB adaptor would make an actual difference? I'm assuming yes, but I just want to double check before I spend money. Or if you think there might be another solution, I'm more than open to it.
>>
>>57770162
Should add I've tried using the on-board noise cancellation options and what not but they make the microphone completely unusable, as if I'm underwater.
