Doable with CM but MIUI is plagued by wakelocks.

I drove close to 300 miles the other day and had 4g and GPS on while screen was on the whole time and playing music. I still had 35% batter when I arrived. My Samsung s5 used to last just over an hour and a half with GPS and screen on. So yeah it's bretty gud for the price.

If you stick to the global ROM it's all great.

MIUI has a lot of android System wakelocks, one of the bigger issues is the logd service keeping the phone awake. It can be resolved by disabling android logging but there are many more.
