Alright, I'm trying to figure out which programming language to seriously throw myself against for making game apps, and I've got it down to javascript and C++
Would you kind folks offer a good compelling reason as to choose one over the other?
(I've dabbled in a few different languages out of necessity but only enough to solve the issues I was dealing with, so I'm still below novice levels with all of them.)`

Java and Swift are your choices.

Elaborate.

I have a few ideas and I'm going to go with whatever's simplest first; it really doesn't matter because it's all for the purpose of building skill, with the hope of making a few dollars in the process.

java and swift are my only two choices? That doesn't quite seem right.

Well,:
Java for Android
Swift is for iOS
Surely you can use JavaScript, but it's slow and I don't like JS (((programmers))), even if I am one of them.

Kek. What platform are you developing on?

I was hoping to do something that was cross platform for the most reach, but if it comes down to it, fuck iOS because I hate it with a passion and it's made for mouthbreathing retards I guess.

Nice, but you generally need to learn how to tie your shoelaces before you run in the olympics.
Pick a platform. Code native.

I'm hearing java is the best option then.
