How do I unlock a T-mobile Galaxy Note 4? Not unlock as in the lock screen, I mean to use on other networks.
Is there any way I can get an unlock code?

Literally first result in google man.

Yeah but they won't give it to me until I pay it off. Only a temporary 30 day code.
Pretty annoying for me to have a phone that we're still paying money on and can't use.

Oh boy USA is ridiculous lmao

Why do you want to unlock the phone prior to paying it off? Also you should've just ponied up the cash. My parents just finish paying off their Galaxy Note 3s and they ended up paying the full $800 retail price when they were worth half that within a year. Financing phones is a racket.

Yeah, looks like that's how I'm gonna have to do it.
How the fuck do they get the codes though? Where do these codes come from?
The only thing all those "unlock services" do is contact the carrier, provide the IMEI/ESN, and get the code the same way you can if you're the owner of the device - there's no reason to pay somebody else to make a fucking phone call on your behalf.
They don't have some super-secret access to the information, they get it the same way you would: calling the carrier and asking for the unlock code.
>don't be stupid
>do it yourself

I've been wondering about this for a long time but never really bothered to look it up. Thanks, anon. Thankfully, this shit is free in Mexico. The only downside is that you have to wait for a few days without your phone.
