OP, I only shitpost at home and I'm only home in 1-2 hour increments. I go elsewhere, don't open up 4chins and study. I'm studying data structures & algorithms to prepare for courses and interviews. I want a good life (i.e. live in Manhattan, Bay Area) and am studying my ass off to either 1) Get into a PhD program or 2) Get a job I want.

Would you be interested in developing a programmable turntable based on a raspberry pi and a stepper motor? With the later addition of DSLR interfacing? The end goal would be to sell a package with the pi, motor, DSLR chip, scripts etc. I reckon we could easily sell 10-15 of them with a decent profit margin.

I reckon it'll be a loss if you count the hours put into it, but it'll be a learning experience and besides I need one for a project, so..

And I know I could sell 10+ to my network, and probably make $500-$1000 or so from that..
Controlling a stepper motor with a raspi should be trivial, right? The DSLR interface, well it's doable but probably gonna take some more effort to implement.
