Most suburbs have high speed internet; I live in a suburb of SF and my home net is "officially" 150Mbps...but truth is a downloaded a 23MB msi 4 hours ago in less than one second. I thought it was a shitty web installer for SQL Report Builder because it was so fast. Nope, my internet is just that fast. Cable company just randomly decides some times to upgrade my speed for free. At first they would send a notice: "We're just informing you that we've upgraded your 50Mb connection to 75Mb." The stopped doing that after they upgraded me from 75Mb to 100Mbs. Now I don't even know what I'm at. All for the same $45/mo.

During the Cold War, 1st world was any country aligned with NATO, second with the Warsaw Pact and third world neither.

Now, the economic definition is 1st world exports ideas i.e. processors, networking technology like Ethernet, TCP/IP and WiFi, smartphones, self driving cars...private space travel, renewable resource technologies...

2nd world is a country that exports manufactured goods and 3rd world is a pre-industrial nation...

The American criminal legal system comes with minimum, maximum and extenuating conditions on charges.

A charge of manslaughter for instance is less serious than 1st degree murder. Manslaughter has a minimum required sentence, with elligability for parol after that period.

So someone could get 35 years for running 5 people down in with their car, charged as manslaught, serve the 6(?) year minimum then get out on parole.

Those parole requirements are set by state legislature statutes and judges have some leeway with them, but they still have to stay within certain guide lines.

What the CAN do however is sentence 4 CONSECUTIVE prison terms of life. Life comes with a 15 year minimum for parole eligibility. But if the judges sentences to 4 consectutive terms (as opposed to concurrent), then they wont be elligable for parole for 60 years.
