fugg my mobo died a few days ago. Just replaced it. Just a heads up I think this applies to Windows 7 & 8, along with 10. Your Windows will no longer be activated after. The new mobo to Windows is just a new computer. Luckily I had my key code that came with the Windows 7 disk.
I bought a 1155 mini itx on ebay that was brand new a couple weeks back that came in a kit with a i3 2120, 8gb ddr3 and some coolermaster hsf for $100.
I went to pc part picker and sorted by best reviewed from that time period, then went down the list and dropped those motherboards into ebay until I found a well priced board available with buy it now.
I'd probably suggest doing the same.

are you literally bobby hill?
when you bought windows 7, you either got the Retail version or the OEM version. they're the same except the OEM version is tied to the hardware you first activated it on. the Retail version you can change mobos 3 times. posting on a tech forum and you do not know this.,

People use GNU/Linux here, which does not need activation

reactivation might still fly though.
