I got these. They are running via chinch-phone connector on a rtl onboard sound card. The volume on these things are just at nine o'clock so they are not even turned up a quater and been never turned higher than that. When I put low frequency (sinus generator at around 80-90HzHz) through it, one of them recently started to buzz (only one).
These things are with ~500$ not the cheapest and have a really deep and full bass for their size (you don't even need a sub).
Any idea what could cause the buzzing? I don't think a mere line out from an onboard soundcard can put out that much power and them being turned up not even a quater of the full range, there shouldn't be a reason for them to get damaged, or?
I am not a professional, but are they clean? Did you drop the buzzing one on accident? Is the cable fully functional?
One of my speakers is buzzing a bit aswell, but I don't really notice it.

Meaning if I dont set the volume very high I can't hear it.

ADAM is shit tier quality control (that's one of the reasons their former head engineers fucked off and founded EVE audio)
so sending it in to get it fixed is a pretty normal thing to do with their stuff

return it now. I Also it why I can trust monitor speakers

Yes I have to turn the volume up alot too, before that they are not buzzing. Sinus generator was set at -3db output.
I am no pro either. They are a little dusty, I don't know if any dust would come into the tube to the driver's magnet... I am hesitating opening them tho

Can't return them anymore. Sorry I should have mentioned that I own them for like 3 years now. I seldom have them really loud but just today I noticed the buzzing.
I actually liked them because of their quite warm and full bass. Originally I had a sub too but I sold it because I ended up never needing it.

Well, before you break something trying to fix it, get someone that knows how to do it. I wrecked my old sub because I was trying to repair it.
>>57684152
send it in anyway
at least here in germany they don't charge a whole lot for simple repairs, my ADAM sub went there 2 times already

I am from Germany too. Thanks I will contact them then and ask if they can help.
usually buzzing is a ground issue, perhaps plug the two speakers into separate wall sockets
>>57684541
since it's only at low frequency it sounds more like it's mechanical

try using a decent audio interface with balanced outputs (scarlett 2i2, steinberg ur22) as source, if you have a grounding problem that might help
