Got these chinky dice, the quality is actually pretty nice, the corners are all nicely rounded, there's no seams anywhere and the printing is very clean and clear. They could be a bit heavier though.

But then I plugged it into a USB sound card instead of onboard audio and that cleared it up significantly.

Decreased the gain on the mic itself , got a foam windscreen, positioned it closer to my mouth and turned on static noise canceling


It's crystal clear now. Sounds very good .Actually prefer it to my bm800 now as I don't have to bother with phantom power

I also autisticly added ferrite beads to most of the wires coming off my computer . So I dunno if that helped

Same as the TV market, 1080p is still good enough for 99% of people, 3D did nothing except a gimmick, then came 4K, whilst it is better, its so marginal, that buying a whole new TV or spending the extra 300-400 is not worth it, now its 4K + HDR, and again it is better than 1080p but its not big enough for most people to care.

1080p is good enough in most conditions, here in the UK our major satellite company, SKY, only broadcast HD channels in 720p.

To get the best out of a 4K or 4K HDR device, you have to spend extra money to see the benefit of 4K, its nowhere near to be THE standard and probably never will be as they will just keep trying to innovate.

They are already talking about 5K when I haven't actually seen one thing in 4K yet.

My motherboard (Crosshair III) has some enhancements and that helps a lot, but I do need to boost gain (windows sound panel option, I guess it's +10dB or +30dB) then lower the volume to make it sound a little bit better. I can barely hear my own voice but it does pick sound from the next door (3-4m away). I'm gonna try later on some voip and hear the feedback. Personally I don't like to but things next to my mouth, but I will consider the pop filter.

there are many differrent cheap usb sound cards. Some have the same internals, but different cases. Some have same cases, but different internals. Some have coupling capacitors... There is no foolproof way to find out by looking at a picture whether the sound card is the same as another one, unless there is a picture of the internals.

Some cheap USB sound card are missing the needed coupling capacitors in the headphone output. That can break headphones and the sound card due the constant power draw caused by huge DC offset voltage.

Yes, the controller is the transmitter. You can "improve" those toy ones by making a hole in the centre of the mushrooms and jamming a stick in there if you don't mind them looking retarded.
Getting a toy one like the E010 to learn the basics is the way to go. However, it lacks rate/manual mode in which the quad doesn't self-level when you let go of the sticks and in which you'll spend most of your time in future if the real drone is of the sporty variety rather than a camera-carrying aerial bus.
The cheapest quad I know of which has a manual mode is the XK X100 which is a seriously fun piece of kit, though a bit lively to be used indoors.

Not /csg/ related but personally, I'm always going back to these for daily use outside. Most KZs have cancer cables and plugs, Zircons break if you look at them wrong...

The Pannys have nice balanced sound, the cable is light but durable and they are extremely comfortable.

They're also even cheaper than most /csg/ IEMs.

They're decent, but the cable has insane microphonics sadly. Not that a lot of chink memes also don't, because they do.

I find the heavy cable of KZ IEMs tends to slap around a lot and make lots of noise, and the grippy outer surface snags on clothing and creates more microphonics. The Panny has a smooth, slippery and light cable that doesn't make a lot of noise. It's not completely silent but I can't complain.

Sounds great, but cheap and replaceable.

I've had mine for 3 months now and they're still working though, but I ordered another after hearing how good it sounded for that price.

So now I have 2 pairs. One that I use every day, and one for when this dish pair dies.

2bh I'm amazed they have lasted this long considering how cheap they feel, I think I've severely underestimated build quality on these.
