I'm getting a new 1080 for the rig i'm building.
What brand would be the best bet? I've heard the MSI is pretty good, and the zotac one is looking alright aswell.
I heard EVGA is on fire right now.
Absolutely smoking the competition.

EVGA ones might be cheaper due to ppl returning them

It doesn't matter. Get one that fits in your case. Barring egregious manufacturer defects in the lot you bought it from, it's just a matter of brand loyalty and gaymur LED ricing for your transparent-paneled case.
Gigabyte.

MSI tends to charge a lot for their factory overclocks. Or maybe there's some different voltage control on it.
get the evga 1080 from evga and use their 90 day step up program by paying the difference between it and the 1080ti in january.
the founder edition has no fire hazard because it is based 100% on the nvidia's manufacturing process. the 100 dollar premium on it you will recover when stepping up to the 1080ti
