If you could read chink then you could order one of their mips processors and build a better looking laptop from scratch. The Lemote really isn't all that powerful, especially compared to a Thinkpad from last decade.

Not worth it. Particularly since MIPS support amongst distros is gradually being dropped.

If you really want a fully libre computer, you can run the OrangePI with a custom compiled firmware and bootloader.
More work than it's worth, but completely possible.
