The logic being that an extension could potentially keep a log of what you do in inprivate mode, defeating the purpose.

Using inprivate to fap to scat porn has no benefit if your adblocker remembers your choice not to block ads on iEatShit.com so they'll let you watch videos.

I'll play Devil's Advocate here.

99% of people don't understand the idea of USB bootable OS. But a lot of people have hard drives crash, slow ass computers filled with malware; and no cash to fix either of these problems.

For $25 they can get the PC into a running state again, at least enough to get online and look at porn.

You aren't going to get a windows repair, or new hdd installed for anything close to that.

And yes, at least Win10 can refresh itself these days.
>>
years ago /g/ GPL attacked some overpriced OEM rebranded PCs with a reskinned ubuntu sold as a computer "for the elderly". Does anyone remember what it was called?

Many people ITT are saying that it is a scam and that it should be illegal, but it's actually pretty good that they're offering this product. If you created a guide about how to make a live USB and advertised it as in their publicity, literally no one would give a shit to try it; put a price tag on it and people will automatically think that it's good and want it. That's just how it works. They're providing people with a solution for their problems while creating an abstraction layer from the technical stuff involved; basically they're selling a computer that just works, you don't need to know anything just for 30 bucks. You all wish you had the vision of these people.
>>
>>57666698

>>
What if the PC is set up to not boot from USB?

How do they expect tech illiterates to configure the bios?
>>
How compatible is Linux with wifi drivers out of the box these days?

People are not going to connect a network cable to download the required driver. (Wired Ethernet is generally better supported out of the box)

Not really. It's going to come down to distribution channels and brand recognition.

Can you undercut them? Only if you can get the drives in enough volume to make it economically feasible.

Everyone here is just mad that they didn't think of it first.

Personally, I want to know how they deal with supporting users in configuring their systems to boot from a flash drive. How do you walk people through countless different BIOS configurations?
>>
>>57655657
I don't understand why people don't use LibreOffice.
>>
>>57671571
They market it for damaged or broken harddrives.

Maybe USB is already higher in the boot priority or the BIOS skips these "defective" HDDs and reaches the USB.
