What's so good about Gentoo? And why shouldn't I just use any other distribution like Ubuntu or Arch?
If you have to ask, stick with ubuntu.
Well for starts it doesn't use systemd
but I like your anime pic so go ahead and use Ubuntu
If you have to ask then you're not ready for it.

More control, more performance.

This isn't that much of a "what should i use" question (it obviously is part that) but more of a "why does everyone keep spamming install Gentoo" sort of question
Stick on Ubuntu gentoo is just a meme, arch Linux has a really great package manager tho

If you need to ask why it is good then it's not for you.
Why would people "keep spamming install gentoo"? Try not being so new.

Damn, should've lurked more
>>57647180
Mm yes I do like arch's package manager

Gentoo is a meme because of its customizability (in other words: You'll take about 3.5 to 7 hours of writing well documented code and installing the OS) straight down to the kernel.
Apart from that it's a little bit like Arch, just that you compile things, but the customizability is on par with or better than Arch.

It's far more customizable than arch.

I'm still on babby knowledge of Linux so thanks for telling me that.

You have no idea of how gentoo works, do you?
