Where is someone supposed to learn to get the software for and use IRC, anyway? It seems like one of those things that wouldn't be easy to find in libraries and while my community college teaches outdated shit, you can't count on it being the shit you're after.
apt-cache search irc
You're not. Because people who still use IRC are pathetic elitists, just like people who still partake in Usenet discussions.

How can you be on 4chan without knowing basic googling?

Ehh I don't think IRC is quite that high on the autismometer yet, but Usenet definitely is.

Google "how to use IRC", "which IRC client should I get".

Oh, so type it out like a granny instead of searching the basic words. I guess I didn't think of that because I'm under 60.

What are you on about? I'm not the one who was considering going to a community college to learn how to use IRC.

Using it isn't autistic. Use shit as old as you like. Expecting OTHERS to know it is autistic.
