Hey /g/!
Firefox recently updated to 50.0 and ever since whenever I type something into the address bar and my history comes up with suggestions to click on, the first one is now "search with google". I always disabled that because it's annoying but now I can't do that. The settings and about:config are calibrated to not do that but it's still there. Does anyone happen to know how to get rid of it? Google couldn't help me find a solution.
Thanks.

setbrowser.urlbar.unifiedcompleteto false in about:config
I think that's the one
switch to chrome, it's not 2011

It's been set to false for years and still is. That's why I'm so confused. It won't go away.

What a coincidence, that's how we feel about you.

Your browser got cucked, m8. You're now #WithHer

That option has been removed, you can use stylish or userchrome.css to remove the "visit" and "search" entries but the one you want is not gonna be pre-selected so you'll have to use the arrow keys to select it.
>>57585513.search-one-offs, #urlbar-search-footer { display: none !important; }
This should remove the search and the footer, you can use classic theme restorer too.

Classic theme restorer.
Anyone who suggests anything else is just dumb.
OP here. Found the proper checkbox in Classic Theme Restorer. Thanks for the replies. :)
