No one cares about your choice of browser, OP. Why are you so obsessed with what everyone else uses? If Chrome suits your needs, use Chrome. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to use Firefox.

Firefox is a bloated piece of shit, but a lot of its issues are addressed by its numerous forks, which probably enjoy a lot more usage share than FF. I use Pale Moon because I need several FF-exclusive extensions that happen to be compatible with PM, and because PM removes much of FF's bloat.

Chrome absolutely does not suit my needs, therefore I do not use Chrome. I don't care if Chrome renders Web pages faster or even has a faster start-up time. That has nothing to do with my choice of Web browser.

It is slow compared to Chrome, no fucking shit. Firefox runs on ~20 year old Gecko engine that is not optimized for multi-core processors, and that'll continue to be the case until they start rolling out Quantum by the end of next year.

Feel free to hand over your entire psychological profile to be put on a database for a small boost in speed, if it bothers you so much.

I dont know what I'm doing right or what you guys are doing wrong but I dont notice any performance issues with 49.0.2 64bit. I tried chrome and its a tad faster but its not very noticeable.
