I decided to live-boot it because I want to see if I should consider using Budgie when I switch to Arch, and while it does look pretty slick (tied with KDE Plasma for nicest-looking DE out of the box), the lack of customization depresses me. You have to click to change application categories in the menu, which doesn't seem to be fully navigable with the keyboard alone. It has some nice default programs (Hexchat, Rhythmbox), but its repos are downright depressing. And I'm one of those weirdos who actually enjoys GNOME 3's full-screen menu, so I made my KDE menu full-screen, but I can't find any option for that in Budgie. It's also missing a huge number of other tweaks that I love in KDE. So maybe I'm just spoiled, but I don't think Solus is ready yet.
That said, this distro is LIGHTNING fast, so once its repos get bigger and more customization options are added, it might be worth using.

I'm not op, but I have made a few solus posts in the past few weeks since discovering it. This whole Kevin thing has blown it out of proportion though.

Solus isn't perfect, I had an issue with the 3.5mm Jack on my laptop not working with solus 1.1, 1.2.1 is out now but I'm settled on Ubuntu mate for that laptop.

I use Solus on my desktop though, and it's working perfectly there. I really like it so far, and I hope this Kevin bullshit doesn't ruin it.

A widescreen image will have a widescreen thumbnail, a vertical image will have a vertical thumbnail. It makes it look less evenly spaced, but it's ok because each image is allocated its own space.
