All office software is a pain in the ass to use, Libre Office is not worse than microshit office, you just got used to it and can't smoothly transition because it's different.

Itunes has completely different purpose than VLC. VLC is not a music manager, just a media player, maybe if you tried a player with more media management like Clementine you'd be happier.

GIMP has less features sure, but it's far from shit and unless you're a literal professional artist, GIMP does the job well enough. I've been using it a lot and nobody can fucking tell I don't use PS. Also, PS guys are assholes and don't play fair because they patent algorithms and GIMP can't use them so often even if they wanted and were capable of adding a feature, they can't because adobe will sue them.

VLC isn't a music manager anyway, it's just a player. Use winamp, it's old and reliable and werks. Also you can import an itunes library into it so the switch-over should be pretty seamless. And you can use a nice modern skin for it (none of those ugly floating blobby ones that used to be everywhere) and it actually looks pretty nice.

Other good alternatives are AIMP4 and Potplayer. Both have nice skins available too.
