Firefox portable:

- does everything I require
- modified to do even more
- customized so much you can't even tell it's Firefox anymore
- tabs where they fucking should be (not on the top or bottom of the screen, you figure it out)
- addons that work as they should
- plugins that work as they should
- no issues of any kind
- fuck Electrolysis and multi-process bullshit which performs worse than good old single process without issues
- no other browser can touch this
- so it's a few milliseconds slower in some operations, who the fuck really cares

Pretend Safari doesn't exist yet; it's still being developed by Apple. It's nearly done; Apple just needs to find out what people think of it before they launch it. They invite a bunch random people into a testing facility, where the randos will use the currently-incubating Safari on Apple-supplied computers and give feedback and take notes. After some time, everyone has one complaint -- "Overall, this browser feels very...homosexual."

What the fuck does that even mean? What should Apple do to change it? In what universe is that a helpful or even reasonable complaint to have? Is the browser a male who likes men? Is the browser literally managing to suck a dick in front of its user, somehow? How would that even work? That's not a legitimate complaint. I would never use a browser and say, "Hmm...this feels bisexual." It doesn't make sense.

Are you retarded? Opera 12 was great (I'm actually using it right now) but I have to use other browsers if I want functionality on a lot of websites now.

The new Opera is just a goonie version of Chromium and Vivaldi is still a way off being a viable browser to use by itself.

Firefox is shit with You Tube, Chrome doesn't have any official You Tube downloader extensions and IE/Edge are just shit.

I even use Torch just so I can use Piratebay and download porn videos.

The browser market right now is a fucking disgrace.
>>
>>57500346

You use it to shitpost on 4chan 99% of the time.
Who gives a fuck? Just use the ones that has the addons you use for the other 1% of your time online.

This board is fucking retarded and full of manchildren who are no better than whores to judge each other based on how much their sugardaddies spend on them. You all have that cancerous braindead consumer whore mentality. Please kill yourselves or buy a new smartphone that will do it for you.

Haven't you heard? Popularity = quality
>>

It's not. The real problem is that Opera is just a chrome clone.

>>
>>57500346

Brave is pretty good on android. Better that that shit failfox
>>
>>57512483
>>57512846
Popularity doesn't equal quality, but in some cases, popularity means more extensions/addons and community support.

This applies to other things like programming languages and operating systems.
>>
>>57500346
Having a small market share doesn't affect the quality of the browser. However, Opera is definitely not what it used to be.

Otherwise I can't prove you wrong because you're right.
>>
>>57512974
I think another thing that affected it was that web developers wouldn't test their sites on Opera, potentially forcing users to switch browsers to properly use the site. Probably a mixture of "it has an incredibly low market share so we don't have to test it there", but also, didn't Presto force you to build your websites properly? Whereas Gecko and Webkit would fill in missing spots and render the webpage as correctly as it could? I can't remember the specifics but Presto didn't encourage lazy web development at all.

>that web developers wouldn't test their sites on Opera, potentially forcing users to switch browsers to properly use the site
I don't know of a single webdev outside of a massive company that's going to even bother loading their site in Opera.

Most enterprise web apps target specific browsers anyway, typically IE or Firefox.
>>
>>57513531
Exactly. If it had a bigger market share then that would possibly make them consider trying their site out in it. But it doesn't really matter now as Opera is just another Chrom* skin now.
>>
I use Edge the only downside is that Google keeps bugging me to download Chrome and there are not a lot of extensions yet.

My face when, I realize you're right.
>>
>>57513531
The problem was and still is lazy devs not following industry standards and choosing to follow de facto standard instead. This began with ie 6 and Netscape and continues to this day. Opera up to 12 was not very forgiving to non standard sites. Others were. If they simply followed standards there wouldn't be a huge need to test sites with specific browsers at all.
