I have spent a whole week trying to find the best 4k UHD monitor to purchase but I can't find any good choices. Can someone please lead me to the best one I can purchase under $500?
Sharp Text? => Dell P2415Q
Still pretty sharp text but also more screen real estate? => Dell P2715Q

I wouldn't listen to this jim, go for an iMac 5K model for the best screen quality on any monitor.
Nothing else compares really.

this. i have a p2415q and an up2414q at home, as well as a p2415q at my lab/work. an officemate has the p2715q. they're all excellent but the up2414q has a few drawbacks and is quite a bit more expensive, so just don't consider it.
if your operating system isn't dogshit at scaling, the p2415q or any other 4k 24" monitor is just amazing. if you spend a lot of time coding, it's a life saver
Can I get a 16:10 4K monitor?

At the moment it's the only viable one. The Philips version got discontinued and supplies have dried up.

Just an update it's OP here, after two weeks of research I ended up getting the LG 27UD68-P and it's absolutely fantastic.
