I am suspecting Zen will be a "good" thing for AMD but a "bad" thing for the consumers and fans. Firstly I doubt their low,mid,high and enthusiast tiers will be of any value compared to what Intel has to offer. Not only that a worrisome thing with AMD is that if you want a good CPU, it may cost "less" than Intels but the motherboard usually cost more than the CPU, which is inane, since the main idea with AMD is to be for a "good" value within a budget.
Short sum, Zen will be a "success" compared to their FX series and will deliver performance but not in anything close to what Intel has to offer and prices won't be much of a deal.

Not only are AMD processors less expensive than Intel, but AMD motherboards are historically far less expensive than Intel ones, and have far more staying power. Don't believe me? Go check Amazon, or Newegg, or anywhere else and don't cherrypick some shit intel board from asrock to try and prove a point.

Complete opposite. Decent AMD motherboards are dirt cheap.
