Can any other manufacturers even compete with these trackpads? Ignore everything else about the Macs, but the trackpads are bar none the best on the market, right?

Having it centred would make very little space.
I think Apple was right in making the touchpad xbox hueg, but the rest of the stuff on the new MBP is garabe and I'll be buying a Thinkpad X1 next time instead.

Just having the Precision name doesn't mean it's any good. I despise using Dell trackpads with the Precision driver, but I prefer the Surface Pro trackpad because it has less input lag for touch and gestures than even Mac Trackpads.
