Anyone have any idea why my phone is now taking ages to charge? Started happening in the last couple of days, and I don't recall having done anything special before it.
It says it will take 9 hours to charge from 44% at the moment.
>>
>>57461777
how ass is the build quality?
>>
>>57461360
Current (overall) best is The Pixel, followed very closely by the S7 variants.

>>57461778
Using it more during a charge, or charging it through your computer vs power outlets can change the time it takes to fully charge. Or perhaps a shitty app.
>>
>>57461814
build quality is great
fells sturdy as hell even though it has a removal back
the plastic on top and bottom isn't even felt.
Only problem is it's a little light
Overall feels premium as fuck

It's slightly less botnet than other Android phones, because it only comes with Google's botnet, while other phones come with manufacturer and provider botnets plus Google's.

But it ships unlocked and with stock Android.
>>
>>57462450
The benefit of a removable battery is Anker and ZeroLemon producing higher mAh batteries, so just wait it out. As for bloat, root will solve that issue.

T-mobile never fucking has the V20 in stock. I want to give them my Note 7 already. They forced the 60 percent battery life update on me while I was sleeping and now I get a pop up every time I unlock the phone.

I'm pretty sure it's a piece of shit.
Oneplus x is similarly priced but is it just as shit or more reliable.
She doesn't need anything fancy just something that works well enough so that she isn't asking me what's wrong with the phone all the time and something that wont go to shit in 6 months.

Any better phones around 200-260 CAD 5.0inches? There's so many of them i don't know which is the least shit.

Zuk Z2
Nexus 5X (This is the safest choice and should just werk)
Redmi 4 Pro/Prime
Redmi 4
Redmi 3 Pro/Prime
You sure she wouldn't be happier with a 5.5" phone? Wymin love big ass phones, and size hardly ever matters since they always carry a purse
If she is okay with a 5.5" phone then the Redmi Note 3 Pro is GOAT
Older iPhone's aren't a bad idea either, an iPhone 5S is still usable for pretty much everything and can be had for pretty cheap

>I have someone offering to trade my Nexus 6P for their OnePlus 3, both 64gb.

...What's his problem with the OnePlus 3?

I fucking love the OnePlus 3. It's got fucking 30-minute charging and the battery is similar to the LG G4's. It's mid to low teir good. It's just ok, but the fast charging makes it easy to manage and it dozes just like any other android phone can doze to save battery life. Greenify, senpai.

Mine is unlocked and rooted with FreedomOS's from XDA.
>>
>>57466189

That's really fucking dumb. Why would you trade a phone that will soon recieve no updates from the Googs for basically a 2016 improvement with infinite software potential for the next two to three years?
>>
>>57466128
Thanks for this. the redmi pro 3 is cheap on gearbeast right now so i might get her to get that.
She's using a 3.5inch old samsung right now and does not want to go 5.5 inches big.
She's using a gateway laptop with a broken s key and wont shell out the cash for anything that is decent and will last - or else i'd get her to just get the pixel or 6p and be done with it.

Should I buy oneplus two or three?

Note that I don't currently use NFC
>>
>>57466325
The Oneplus two had hardware issues with the fingerprint sensor and the battery. So far.. the three doesn't outside of firmware differences when flashing custom roms so if you're going that route, read EVERYTHING. OP likes to change their firmware on shit every OTA release so it's hard for xda devs to keep shit compatible.
>>
>>57466325
Oneplus 2: It's $100 cheaper

Oneplus 3:
It's a newer, higher performance phone, hence the "3"
It's being supported by Ubuntu Touch(OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED), SailfishOS(community alphas) and (eventually) plasma.
Otherwise the phone is entirely boring. There's no removable battery and there's no SD card.
AMOLED screen is a plus depending on who is reading this sentence. Some like them, some hate them. Personally, I like them.

Anyone have one? Is it any good?
>>
>>57465327
I was just pointing out that build quality and bootloops matters friendo. I hope you don't have any problems with the phone, but just know what you could be getting into. I had phones that people bitched about certain issues and I never experienced any of them so in my experience those phones performed well, but the reality is that it was a lottery and I just was lucky. Defending something to death like some loyal dog is fucking pathetic, just get something, learn that it has pros and cons and be prepared to endure or fix whatever brings your whole experience down.
All that being said, I think the LG V20 looks fine, it's nice you can cahnge batteries but it isn't the second comming of Christ. At least it looks a better phone than the Pixel, which isn't hard actually.

>>57466529
I don't own the phone, just saying it's harsh to judge when it's been out a month now without any bootloop issues and that one would expect LG to fix their production issues sooner or later. There could still be problems that crop up later, as with any new-release product. Personally I wouldn't buy a phone that hasn't already been available to the public for a few months to see if there are any major issues.

What's everyones opinion on the ZTE axon 7 and Oppo R9 Plus? Tossing between the two
>>
>>57468790
ZTE Axon 7 has a better DAC, pretty fast and has better support (Daydream-compatible and
upgrading to Nougat 7.0 soon) and frequent firmware updates. But you have to check whether your telecom LTE band is compatible though, that could be the Deal-Breaker.

Oppo phones are seriously good and well-polished but they never ever upgrade their shit, let alone to Nougat (Blame ColorOs)

They both have premium quality. So whatever you pick you are not losing out.

Alternatively, you could wait for the Oppo R9s or Huawei Mate 9, coming out this Late Nov/Dec.

Well first things first, I didn't say it was exactly the same. I stated it was just as bad. At the end of the day you're still left with a device you can't fucking use. Obviously, if the phone was anywhere near your person, the exploding nature causes more damage. And lastly, at least samsung acknowledged the issue - which lessens the impact on the population due to recalls being issued AND all carriers posting giant fucking warnings on their site/sending them to owners. LG? They pretend it's only a problem exclusively for the G4.

dude, your comment still makes no sense. if it causes more damage as you stated yourself and if the negative effects are obviously higher then no, they aren't "just as bad". a major annoyance like having your phone rendered unusable for a certain period of time isnt even on the same fucking ballpark as having a portable device that is carried around at all times that has the potential to 'cause third-degree burns if not worse. you just don't fuck around with people's safety like that. also, if I'm not mistaken, LG does switch your phone if you ever encounter any bootloops. it's a fucking shame tho, because they seem like very solid smartphones all around beyond that.

The nexus 6p is also out of your budget (if you're stucking to 350 max) seeing as the lowest it's been was 399 @ newegg.

Are the S7 and S7 edges blowing up too? Would prefer to stick with samsung but could be coerced to something else. Micro sd is a must for me

Leeco S3.

Isn't that just a renamed Honor 5c? which is just a bulkier P9 lite with the same specs? not that bad really.

>>
>>57476096
none, i was finally about to buy op3 and get rid of my iphone 4 but now i have to wait longer. there will be news and hopefully a release on the 15th
>>
>>57464363
Pixel, V20 or S7E
S7E for better auto shots
V20 if you wanna use the manual controls, the pics turn out better than the S7 if you know how to use it
>>
Why is it so hard to find a decent """small""" phone?

Sony's latest compact is ass

Samsung's A3 has incredibly bad specs for the price
>>
>>57462450
Ya I got a v20 like 2ish weeks ago build quality is fine but fuck me the battery dies so quick I was using a file browser for like 15 minutes and it put me at 70% from 85%

Redmi 4 Pro/Prime SoC is close to the 650 performance wise, made on 14nm FinFET (instead of shit outdated 28nm like the 650 or 617) and it probably doesn't overheat like the 617
It also has a full HD screen (not an improvement though) and a better camera than the RN3P and thus better than the R3
>>57473562
Redmi 4 Pro if you don't care about LTE/4G
Redmi Note 3 Pro if you do care about LTE/4G, right now it's at around 3000 on AliExpress
Nexus 5X from eBay if you don't want a chinkphone and want a better camera than the Xiaomemes and can do without SD card
There's literally nothing good in any carrier or store in Mexico, you can pay with Mercadopago on AliExpress
>>57476418
Redmi 4 Pro/Prime
iPhone SE
Old Sony compacts
>>57476559
RN3P is at 130, much better deal tbqh, the ZUK Z2 could be had at 220 in Gearbest for a while

I've had a Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro for the past 2 years and it's been a great phone to me. The software wasn't the best, but the hardware was super tough. Kinda like a kid with down syndrome. It's survived smacks against nearly everything... that is, except for today when my friend smacked his keychain (with this weird weighted bar on it) about 4 times. It cracked not the protective screen but the LCD screen under it. The phone itself works, but the screen is permanently black. Anyone know of something similar to it in toughness, but maybe with a better OS?
