This. M.2 is only worth it if it's getting all lanes possible, which is barely the case in most boards that aren't worth some serious dosh. If you're going the NVMe route on a board that doesn't give you full speed in it's M.2 slot, it's better to buy a PCIe adapter and plug it in to any given free slot, since it'll be performing at it's rated speeds

Keep in mind that you can't install Windows the same way you did on a SATA drive ever again with one of these, and it's 7 or bust on a GPT partition from this point on

it's extremely similar speed as a regular GOOD SATA SSD. While it does have 2-3x faster sequential reads it's about the same in every other spec
Like the 600p is better than a SATA SSD by maybe a dozen MB/s, but other than sequential reads it's essentially the same
2 SATA SSDs in raid0 would be faster than a 600p
But I mean that's fucking fast already
