I herd slow charging your phone is more healthy for battery life

Slow or fast charging doesnt matter, but I heard lithium ion batteries tend to last longer if you dont always fully charge and discharge. Also charge in short bursts, instead of 2 hours on the charger.

Its practically bullshit time does much more damage than you ever could with slow vs fast charging. Protection circuits prevent undercharged and over charging, the only way charging can do real damage.

most phones slow charge and fast charge on their own anyways. My Iphone will pull the full 1amp during the majority of its charging, but when it gets up to about 90% you can measure it, it reduces power draw significantly, pulls about .4amps until it hits 100%

I think its more complicated than fast is bad, slow is good. A well designed device should be able to adapt accordingly. I would think most, if not all, android devices do the same.

I have a few lithium batteries around that don't charge intelligently, and it really is something you need to be careful with. most RC toys with lipo batteries are like that

My first battery got killed within a year of fast charging.
Don't have a control to say it was the charge speed that killed it but...
It's pretty sensicle from a redundancy perspective.

My S7 got insanely hot while fast charging so I disabled it. Its barely faster than regular charging honestly.

Battery's have less internal resistance when warm. This is why when your phone is cold the battery seems to go down in voltage

Its true that a battery getting hot will slowly add to its wear and tear. Which is what fast charging does. So does wireless charging btw the biggest culprit being both at once.

So if you are doing it overnight trickle charge through a plug.
