Within the next 5 years the United States will be operating the world's 4 most powerful rockets.
The Space Launch System of the Federal Government, the Falcon Heavy by SpaceX, the New Glenn 3-stage by Blue Origin, and the Delta IV Heavy of ULA.
It will also be operating a shuttle like glider and 4 space capsules, 1 of which is a deep space vehicle capable of beyond lunar missions.
It will also have 2 types of rockets that will have reusable 1st stage boosters that can land after launch.
Additionally, it will commence construction of an Aldrin Cycler for Martian convoys.
How did the Americans get so far ahead if everyone else so seemingly fast?

By getting involved at the very end of ww1 and ww2 when all countries were exhausted then entitleing themselves to decide who was at fault and who had to pay to whom (at least in ww1, in ww2 it culprits were pretty clear)
That allowed them to get a steady flow of income while everyone else was busy rebuilding their economy and country while also paying off gigantic debts
Also cold war space race
The real question here is how did Germany get so far ahead of every other country economically wise while simultaneously paying 2 debts

spying and stealing everything they found.

>How did the Americans get so far ahead of everyone else so seemingly fast?
by letting the free market do its thing instead of having a national interest driving a Government space program
>oh wait it´s a failure
truly fantastic work done by the free market
>inb4 commie
The last time the US of the As did space correctly was in the cold war and it had hardly anything to do with a free market being a driving force but fear of the Russians being better
American superiority is real
This is the world's largest welding tool, built specifically by the US government for the largest rocket in the world.
This tool will probably play an integral part of the first manned mission to mars

That's cute. When Hillary wins, WW3 will reduce the world to dust.
