Is the Kindle Paperwhite still the best option for an e-reader?

I have a kindle but isn't kobo better in most ways ? If I'm not mistaken it supports more formats and you can "rent " library books on it with overdrive. There must be something I'm missing here. I torrent all my books tho

If specifically nighttime reading is your thing then the new kobo is even more a better choice since you can manipulate the led frontlights to limit the amount of blue they give off.
Can basically look at a red light eink screen.

Using Kobo Glo HD i got for cheap on cl.

it's pretty good, works on all the epubs I have. Would be nice to change lockscreen background, but don't care enough to figure it out. other than that, no complaints from me.
