Buy basically any computer made within the past eight years and hook it up to your TV. Use something like Kodi if you want a big easy user interface. That's all you need

get a used wdtv live , it can do everything except play x265. I convert x265 -> x264 with handbrake. supports wired and wifi streaming.

I have that thing. Don't expect miracles out of it. Videos can't be over a certain bitrate, and it's a bit picky in general. Better alternatives are a real HTPC or one of those cheap 8-core Android boxes.
