That pic should have a picture of a ti85 or casio knockoff
Are you a fucking hipster? No? Then do it the old fashioned way, but on a computer: download a torrent pack of textbooks, study them, make Anki flashcards or download a deck, read online newspapers/magazines in that language and use social shit to meet native speakers to cybersex with
A grammar book and an introductory "find yourself around in a foreign country" book.
The first book will give you the sound grounding while the second will give you a taste for it's use.
Meanwhile, in you free time, watch youtube videos of people speaking the language, and go to online communities that use the language.
And be patient

I learned Russian using Duolingo + going on Russian 2chan
I can read and write but couldn't hold a fluent conversation. Protip: Russian is a very difficult language to learn if it's your first time learning a new language.

I heard russian is a shit language
worst of the slavs or something
The great thing about studying a language online is you can do the most important part of learning a new language - actually conversing with people who speak it - without having to go physically seek them out.
I had a similar experience as >>57405271
I learned a lot of PtBr through Duolingo and playing video games with BRs for a year. Meanwhile, I studied German "the old fashioned way" in high school for 2 years and I don't remember shit because I never had a need to use the language and the class was taught in English.
Regular conversation is the most important part of learning a new language, once you have the basics down, and there are a lot of ways to get the basics down.
read both the BBC and wikinews in desired language
also, find a movie in that language and watch it over and over, not bullshitting
i'm talking close to 50 or even 100 times here. each time you encounter a word you don't know, head to online dictionary, learn it and its pronunciation, repeat as needed
