Redmi 4 Prime is absolutely great you fucktards.

Huawei Nova with the exact same specs costs $400.
Moto Z Play with the exact same specs costs $500.

P9 lite costs 250.

Redmi 4 costs $133 an it's a steal. bow to Xiaomeme.
>>
>Both Xiaomi Redmi 4 phones will be available in China, with the 2GB+16GB Variant priced at 699 Yuan ($103) and the 3GB+32GB Variant available for 899 Yuan ($133). The phones will be available in three colour variants – Gold, Grey and Silver.

My quick and dirty review for this thing:

Pros:
>werks out of the box
>decent build quality for the price
>analog sticks and d-pad are nice, buttons are clicky and responsive, triggers don't squeak like most chinkshit 360 controllers

Cons:
>bumpers are finnicky as fuck; you have to press them in a certain way to get the click
>some games require you to mess around with programs to get the right analog stick working properly
>>
>>57384578
Redmi 3S Prime will go on sale 5/11 and it will be <$100.

Snapdragon 430, 3gb+32gb. Is that better than the Redmi4 @ $133?

http://en.miui.com/thread-320293-1-1.html

Also, there's a Redmi 4 version with the exact same specs.

http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_unveils_redmi_4a_redmi_4_standard_and_redmi_4_prime-news-21458.php

Redmi 4A
Snapdragon 425 chipset with a quad-core 1.4GHz Cortex-A53 processor, Adreno 308, and 2GB of RAM.

Redmi 4
Snapdragon 430 chip with an octa-core 1.4GHz Cortex-A53 processor, Adreno 505 GPU, and 2 gigs of RAM.

Redmi 4 Prime
Snapdragon 625 with an octa-core 2.0GHz Cortex-A53 processor and Adreno 506 GPU.

Xiaomi really needs to get a grip on all those models.

>>57384729

you'd get more than $0.34, we all ran this scam earlier this year. 50 GB points is $1, if you post a shitty video and ONE picture you get 80 points. So if something is $0.10 you get a lot of profit.

you point a camera at the thing and slowly zoom for 10 seconds. Look at how the Russians are doing it on every product page. It takes 1-2 minutes. Chinks don't want an in-depth video review, they just want to show people are receiving the crap.

I honestly don't regret it too much even, the bumpers have a similar issue but holy shit does it feel good to hold this thing.

Git2 seems to have better stabilization than the 6s. And I personally preferred the colors of the Git2, though I'm sure I could get used to the 6s too.
Also you can change Git2's lenses to a narrower angled one in order to get rid of the fish-eye effect. Not sure if you can do that with the 6s.
I think Banggood sells both Git2 with the narrow lenses already installed and the narrow lenses itself if you want to diy (I wouldn't venture doing it because I'm too much of a wussy to try since it could fuck up the camera).

Also, I bought my Git2 from Banggood and it came with batteries. Bought an extra battery from Banggood and I'm being chinked because it's still pre-advised even after almost 2 months.

Literally every item on my wish list is more expensive now. Even the 11.11 price preview is more.

For example, the mini photo studio used to be $12. Right now it is 25, and the price preview is 14.

A camping utensil set went from $1.5 to $5. The preview is $2.05.

I could go on. So, please save your money and buy a month before 11.11 next time. I'm sad because I was going to buy stuff for Christmas but I ain't getting chinked at these prices.

So you have $950 dollars. Get a Thinkpad T430, drop an SSD in it, a 1tb hard drive in the ultrabay, replace the screen with an IPS one and upgrade the ram. You'll still have enough leftover for a desktop. Why can't you do this? Is someone twisting your arm to get a shitty laptop with junk specs for way too much?

studying requires decent battery life and with $150 chinkpad that's impossible combination
>>
>>57386625
No it isn't, a 9 cell battery gives 6-9 hours battery life depending on what you're doing. That Dell Vostro isn't going to have better battery life than that.
Even with a T430, SSD, 1tb HDD, 9 cell battery, IPS screen and 16gb ram he still has enough for a great desktop for gaming too.

If you're asking about the desktop, like I said, I need to buy all the pieces(or device) from another country so a desktop isn't an option at all.

>>57386625
He's implying I get a desktop for studying though, which I think most college students like me would need. No students really need to use laptops anywhere outside of their dorms.
>>
>>57386664
No I'm implying you get a desktop for gaming and a laptop for studying because you're clearly eyeing that 940MX graphics on the Dell like it'll do anything for you. It won't, that's a horrible graphics card. If you can't get a desktop due to your country at least save your money and buy wisely so you have more money in your pocket for uni life.

If you're an engineering student you'd know that a normal consumer graphics card isn't for you. You need a Quadro for work like that. Just because it has a graphics card doesn't mean it's powerful or useful for engineering.

Try and get a Dell Precision M4600 on eBay, they have i7 and Quadro graphics for very cheap now. Or do what you want, you asked for advice but clearly you know better and are stuck in your choice.

Why would I buy from the Chinese?
Does the shipping & handling make it cost more than buying elsewhere or in the United States?
>>
>>57386871
Shipping and handling is free on most things, the Chinese government covers it. The only time it costs a lot is when the item is heavy, in that instance buying from the US is best.
>>
>>57386804
No! I'm not, I was considering your thinkpad recommendation but then you said you're implying I shouldn't get it for studies that need a powerful device. I really appreciate your advice man and i'll look into the precision M4600.

I'm really basing my entire opinion on what to purchase on what you're telling me right now. Thank you one more time for answering my random question because you're the only who gave a satisfying answer.

>>57386896
Thinkpads come with graphics cards too sometimes but most of their advantage is that their build quality and specs for the price are insane when bought used. You need something with graphics though so,

Dell M4600 is a few years old but it has really good specs, it's more of a desktop replacement laptop. If getting a Thinkpad go for the W series like the W520 or W530, those are also desktop replacements and come with beefy Quadro graphics for engineering work.

Since I can't have a used one, and the 520/530 start at ~1.2k... guess I'll just go with the M4600(which now makes much more sense than a something with a normal GTX card). The decision is crystal clear now, thanks man.

Orange Pi has armbian for it if you don't mind using that.

Cause I've been waiting for too long.

My Moto E 2nd gen is literally taking its last breaths. I need a phone yesterday. I only waited for the Redmi4 cause it comes out in a few days. I'm not sure if it will make it the 3 or so weeks I have to wait for it.

When is the K10000s supposed to come out? And what will be the price?

>I figure if the RaspPi3 kit is normally $100, $45 seems like a steal

>Raspberry Pi 3 £30
>2A USB power supply £5 if you don't have one already
>heatsink £0.50, not necessary unless you live on the surface of the sun
>case literally why, just hide it behind your TV or put it in a big matchbox or build one out of lego

Don't get me wrong, the RPi is great and much better than any of the knockoffs as a Kodi box, but don't get it because you think it should cost $100 and there's a "special deal" to get it for $45. $45 is about what it should cost.
>>
>>57391224
>small paychecks are capitalist
Yes, the lowest a business can get away with paying their workers is capitalist. Remember the big deal about $15 minimum wage in the US and how businesses fought it?

>>57391225
The $45 is for the kit:
>RaspPi3 Model B
>power supply
>case
>heatsink
>>

So there is a front page promotion that for 39.99 zanflare flash light, and it says buy one get one free, but i do not understand how it works cause on my cart I am charged both.Is this a chink move where there other sweeps take is actually the buy one get one?
>>
i got a free RPI3 when i spent $3.14 on some bullshit site. So i bought a case for it for 7 dollars.

I like the Pi zero though for budget concerned, i paid 20 bucks CAD for mine shipped to my door, it can do just as much if you have a bunch of tech scrap around like power supply, usb hub, wifi chip, usb ethernet, cables.

I'm new to this, why are there russian unpacking photos on almost every article i browse on aliexpress ?
>>

because the Russians buy really much Chink shit
>>
>>57391373
I think they get money for the 'reviews'. Chink sellers want to show that customers get items and that they're as advertised.

Which is also what I wanted to ask. How/where do I post 'reviews' to get those bucks/coupons?

Re-read the post you're replying to:

>RPi £30
>power supply £5
>case/heatsink £0
>total £35 which is about $45

You're not getting some super special deal by getting it for $45 on Ali.
>>

wanted to get one after I saw anons posting theirs, but last I checked they were at like five euros, too much for a shower gimmick.

Arrow.com

Not sure what the fuck they were thinking

I saw it on reddit on day 1 of the deal, the entire site was crashing and sold out in 8 mins but I got an order through.

>Not the same as "small".

Usually is.

http://www.ncsl.org/research/labor-and-employment/state-minimum-wage-chart.aspx

Most states have it less than $10, except California, Massachusetts @ $10 and DC @ $11.50. Some have it as low as $5.15 (Wyoming).

Now for the sake of argument lets say the average is $9, but it's probably lower. So $9*8[h workday]*5[day workweek]*4[weeks] = $1440 * 12 = $17,280.

Those are shit earnings. A person can barely survive on that. They're $5000/yr. above the poverty line. They will have to get government assistance.
>>
>>57391509
Rpi is £32

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Raspberry-Pi-Model-Quad-Motherboard/dp/B01CCOXV34/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1478310526&sr=1-1&keywords=raspberry+pi+3

The kit is something like £43.

Besides, I don't know if I can order from amazon.co.uk and have it shipped to Norway.

I was comparing it to the price on komplett.no, where it's 749kr or $92.

https://www.komplett.no/product/877502/datautstyr/hovedkort/integrert-cpu/raspberry-pi-3-model-b-starter-kit

So $45 is literally 50% off for me.
>>
>>57391581

You have no clue of what barely surviving means. Look up what people in other countries earn and maybe even travel a bit.
>>
>>57391663
Dude, I live in Norway. People make $3,000-3,500 a month easy, after tax. If you're a professional with a decade or two of experience you're making $5000+ a month after tax. Plus the workday is 7.5h. Same in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France...

>Look up what people in other countries earn
I thought we'd be comparing US to the other first world countries, not the third world. If you're comparing US to China, India, Vietnam, Congo, Nigeria, etc. then yeah, you guys are living large. You're in good company. :)

I'm using a seidon 120v plus.

With a couple of 120mm 1300rpm fans it's keeping my 4.1ghz i7 870 under 90 degrees c. If you use something better like a pair of 2000rpm fans you'll see much better results I imagine.

What does that have to do with anything? It was asserted that someone making $17,000 a year would have to get government assistance, when that absolutely isn't the case. Besides, I've not only lived happily, but I think, quite well. I live in a nice town, I go out, I go to shows and events, and so on.
