Processor wise definitely. Graphics card too I should imagine. I'm not sure about the sort of ram they'll be using and I doubt they'll be able to match apples as speed though.

Honestly you won't notice much of a difference either way I think. It all comes down to the OS.

Kaby Lake has the same IPC as Skylake. You get like a 10% higher stepping and that's it.
Turbo will be like 3% faster and that's what benchmarks will show as they don't care about sustained load.

current dGPU has a TDP of 30W.
So they could do like 940M to gtx-1050 mobile. (prolly 60% more and comparable to the 15" mbp's radeon 460 pro)

they will have to stay on LPDDR3, too. Tablet already has bad battery life.
Increase in speed to 2133MHz like Apple did, does cost you like 5-7% idle battery life, don't think it's worth it for the tablet.
