Why do people prefer ATX Micro towers compared to ATX Mids.

why consume more if you dont have to?

Size/transportability and cost.

Even for a mid tower, you're giving yourself space for an additional huge card and third party coolers, fans etc.

In my system I have a 2D accelerator, Voodoo2 in SLI, Vortex 2 sound card, network card, and a usb 2.0 card. I need at least 6 slots in my systems.

Mini itx case is perfect. Amd apu so no video card and enough space for the 4 hard drives I use. All in a small low power package.
