When will Linux font rendering be on par with Windows font rendering?

on that resolution and font size, font rendering is trivial. Even Windows can get it right.
This is a troll topic anyway, as you did not specify what font you used so we can't compare and show undeniably that Linux's font rendering is way better. Doesn't actually matter though, you already know.
Which wiki page is it again that we're supposed to use for font rendering discussions? Tokyo? Can't remember

any wikipedia page with non-latin characters will do
>implying windows can even compete against the font rendering of arch
>using fonts
>not reading and interpreting straight binary code

Ubuntu Unity font and screen rendering is superior to both Windows and OSX. I have tested it in both desktop, browser, text editor and whatnot.
It is the one thing Canonical got right with Compiz.

Font rendering on wincucks makes my eyes bleed.
Each time I need to take a look at one of those wincucks machines at work, I wish I had some eyedrops.

this has to be bait. there are thousands of people installing mactype just to get better font rendering. I tried every renderer and my favourite is infinality. looks smooth and clear as fuck even on low resolution.
ubuntu objectively has the best font rendering out of the box
better than mac and windows and other distros

ubuntu is still a bad distro though. you also can install ubuntu font rendering on other distros.
