I'm thinking about buying the i5 Surface Pro + dGPU off of Amazon for $1,350.

I intend to use it to browse the web at work, for programming, and for school. I'm getting the dGPU because I believe it will make it more feasible to also do some light gaming, like Civilization 6.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? The battery life is a big selling point for me.

Also, historically, how good are BF/CM deals for buying laptops? I'm thinking about waiting, but the best I could imagine is saving $50-$100, which for a premium product really isn't that much. I'd rather have it a month earlier.
