>that feeling when you can't use white mode on your display because you have an amoled phone
>that felling when colors drain your phone like 4x an ips panel on colors
>that feelign when people defend this meme technology
>that feeling when literally every OEM including apple is now using this tech
>that feeling when you can't even have your phone on a phone dock always on screen in the car because your map navigation will burn in
tell me what's so great about this AMOLED meme again?

The colours look pretty good and the low energy consumption features (having an actually usable ambient display and whatnot) are kinda nice.
I guess it's a mixed bag. There's some things going for AMOLED, but also some big disadvantages.

>tfw your notifications bar burned in

Learned this the hard way. Used my Galaxsy S6 for gps constantly, then one day noticed all the Waze navigation buttons are burned in.
Didn't believe burn in was a legit thing unless it was say a demo unit being left with the screen on for excessive times periods.
Then I saw a family member's galaxy note 2 and the entire keyboard was burned in and the whole display is tinted yellow. Shit has put me off amoled displays for the foreseeable future.
As for the whole low energy bs, well it doesn't seem to show discernible difference between similar spec phones and Motorola's low energy driver for that pulse notification is pretty efficient for LCD if you ask me.
